Outdoor Music Carnival "ImagineLand"

The large-scale outdoor music carnival, ImagineLand, returns with a rich and diverse lineup of spectacular programmes to curate an immersive pop culture journey that is truly “beyond fantasy”.

At the Forest Stage, the “Go Beyond Concert” brings together a vibrant assembly of local rising stars, singer-songwriters and bands, alongside talented artists from Chinese Mainland and Thailand, breaking boundaries through an eclectic range of pop music genres. Making its grand debut this year is the Cantopop Party, where DJ will spin classic melodies across generations to evoke shared collective memories. Meanwhile, the Seed Stage showcases young musicians delivering refreshing, street-style performances that foster an intimate connection with the audience. The stage also features thematic sharing sessions, linking artistic creation with trendy culture to allow music enthusiasts to experience the profound power of creativity firsthand.

A must-visit “check-in” hotspot is the outdoor installation “Pop Unboxed”, which offers surprises at every turn by seamlessly fusing music, digital media, fashion, animation and original IP elements. The “Funarts Corner” further enlivens the carnival atmosphere with its array of creative booths. For a unique cinematic experience, the “Movie Under the Stars” will host two consecutive nights of outdoor screenings on the lawn, featuring local fantasy-romance classics: Last Song For You (2024) on 25 April and Fly Me to Polaris (1999) on 26 April.

Onion is a young man, blind and dumb, working as an audiotape typist in a hospital. Despite his misfortune, Onion faces life cheerfully. Onion lives in the staff quarters of the hospital. He is crazy about a nurse Autumn living two floors below him. Autumn, though young and beautiful, is an introvert and is quite uncomfortable in handing the courtship of various young men. She is far more at ease when she confides in the blind Onion.

One day, Onion is hit by a car. He finds himself suddenly beamed to a dreamy environment and is able to see and speak again. A young agent dressed in black tells Onion that he was killed on earth and is now in transit to Polaris, as human beings live and die on earth, then go to Polaris to lead a slightly more sophisticated form of existence then die on Polaris and go to lead a yet more sophisticated form of existence in Vega, and the journey continues through galaxies, always onwards and upwards.

The agent tells Onion that he happens to be the 60 billionth human being who dies on earth. Every time the number hits 10 billion, the person will be granted a wish. Onion is overjoyed and wishes to return to earth as he wants to be with Autumn. The agent can only allow Onion to return to earth for five days. During these five days, he will be able to see and speak, but will have the appearance of a different person so that no one will recognize him. Nor will he be able to let people know who he really is and all this jazz about Polaris. Onion accepts the rules and is beamed back to earth……
